Yet again, Salman Khan's Sultan BEATS Aamir Khan's Dangal...do you agree with the verdict?
And the final verdict is here! Despite Aamir Khan’s Dangal winning a thunderous response from the audience, 63 percent of our readers still feel Salman Khan’s wrestling in Sultan was better than Aamir’s wrestling in Dangal. Yes! Can you believe it? I mean, although we agree it’s unfair to compare both the films considering Sultan deals with a love story while Aamir’s Dangal is all about women empowerment and how there should be no limitations in achieving one’s dreams. But given that both Salman and Aamir play wrestlers in their respective films, the comparisons were bound to happen and there…there… Salman has eventually walked away with the title of being the ‘best wrestler’! Do you agree with this verdict? Also read: Aamir Khan in Dangal or Salman Khan in Sultan – whose wrestler avatar is the ultimate WINNER?
Probably, the one’s who have voted for Salman certainly believe the superstar pushed all boundaries with Sultan. Like look at it this way! When you think of Salman, you obviously expect his larger than life persona- You expect his film to be over the top entertainment with his signature moves. But unlike our expectations, the actor made sure he uses Sultan as a medium to exceed all limits and preach that the only hurdle that stands in between you and your dream is the story you keep telling yourself as to why you cannot achieve it. That explains why even the climax scene of Sultan showed Salman wrestling it out with his own inner demon, remember?
Here, check out the poll result:
However, with Dangal, it turned out to be an all together different game with Aamir’s wrestling being only restricted to about 30 seconds while the major focus obviously was on his champion daughters – Fatima and Sanya. I mean, the film is all about father-daughter relationship where Aamir plays the ‘hanikarak bapu’ (Mahavir Phogat) who does everything to make his daughters Geeta and Babita into India’s wrestling champions.
So in that case, the comparisons between Sultan and Dangal is almost irrelevant but with readers picking Salman’s wrestling over Aamir’s, do we see the Sultan hangover stealing the thunder from Dangal? PS: Aamir’s Dangal is almost close to making Rs 150 crore within 4 days, in case you didn’t know. Your thoughts?
